Lurline Amelia Hackmann, 95, of Columbia, formerly of Benton City, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation is Saturday, June 9, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Lurline was born July 19, 1922, in Warrenton, the daughter of Gustav and Evanda (Fuhrer) Dieckmann. On June 24,1945, in Creve Couer, she married Russell Walter Hackmann. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2001.
Mrs. Hackmann had farmed with her husband and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mexico. In their retirement years, Lurline and Russell were members of the local square dance club and enjoyed traveling to square dances around the state.
Survivors include her children, Dale(Georgia) Hackmann of Warrenton, Linda (Mike) Stephenson of Memphis, Janice Carter of Jonesburg, and Don (Tammy) Hackmann of Mahomet, Illinois; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Russell, Lurline was preceded in death by one brother, Lindell Dieckmann.
