Malcolm David Moore, 77, of Auxvasse, passed away at 1:33 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at The Neighborhoods in Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church in Auxvasse with Jim Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Auxvasse Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico.

Malcolm was born March 11, 1941 in Mexico, the son of David Arnold and Carolyn E. (Bradley) Moore. On June 3, 1966 in Benton City, he married Mary Dunn.

Mr. Moore attended Hisey Country School and graduated from Mexico High School in 1959. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, serving from 1963-1969. He had worked for Pete Oliver, A.P. Green, Woods and Dunn Farms, and Prairie Lakes Trucking

Malcolm had attended Bethel Methodist Church until it closed a few years ago. He had also been a member and attended Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church for many years, serving as an Elder. Mr. Moore enjoyed mowing the yard and tinkering with his tractors. He loved being with his family and the companionship of his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Moore of the home; one daughter, Leslie (Robin) Burch of Auxvasse; one son, Tim (Amanda) Moore of Fulton; three grandchildren: Alex (Megan) Whelan of Auxvasse, Madalyn Whelan of Auxvasse, and Abbie Moore of Columbia; five step-grandchildren: Jason (Ashley) Burch of Alabama, David (Erica) Burch of Alaska, Rusty (Courtney) Burch of Auxvasse, C.J. and Bryer Mullins, both of Fulton; one great-grandchild and six step great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Susie) Moore of Tupelo, MS; two sisters-in-law: Margaret Woods and Ellalou Dunn, both of Auxvasse; and many nieces and nephews.

Malcolm was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Moore; and two brothers-in-law: Don Woods and Bill Dunn.
