Trevor Crum, age 6, of Mexico, died Friday evening August 17, 2018, at SSM Saint Mary’s Hospital - Audrain in Mexico. He died as a result of an accidental drowning.

Trevor was in the First Grade at Hawthorne Elementary in Mexico.

He was born on November 9, 2011, in Columbia. His parents are his father Garry Wayne Crum and wife Kamela, Mexico; and his mother Angelia Chick and husband Tommy, Laddonia.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Jacob Crum; and one step-brother Austin Chick; grandparents, Andrew T. Crum Jr., Mexico, Bill and Diana Johnson, Mexico, Vickie Robinson, Montgomery City, and David and Nora Chick, Rush Hill; great-grandparents, Elizabeth Martin, Auxvasse, and Betty Johnson, Center; and numerous Aunt, Uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vicki Crum.

Trevor attended Union Baptist Church. He loved cats and he enjoyed playing outside, fishing, and playing with siblings and cousins. He was very creative and loved to color and draw. He gave amazing hugs.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Delaney officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Instead of sending flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to either Hawthorne Elementary, to purchase school supplies for those that don’t have them, or to the Mexico Animal Shelter to purchase food for the animals.
