James Keith Davis, 79, of Centralia, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at the Stuart House in Centralia.

Visitation and Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Centralia United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday at the church, followed by a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Schnackenberg officiating. Inurnment of the ashes will follow the service in the Glendale Memorial Gardens of Centralia.

Keith was born on April 26, 1939, the youngest of four children to Malcolm and Ruth (Littrell) Davis in Audrain County. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a Centralia High School Alumni, class of 1958.

On Oct. 23, 1959, Keith married Ann West from Mexico, MO, who survives. The couple celebrated 59 years of marriage in October 2018.

Keith retired from AB Chance Company/Hubbell in 1999 after 41 years of service. He received numerous awards for cost saving suggestions and was a highly respected tool sharpener.

He was a lifelong member of the Centralia United Methodist Church, where he served many years on the Board of Trustees and sang on the Praise Team. Keith and Ann loved traveling and camping for 42 years, visiting all 50 states. Locally, he rarely missed an Anchor Fest. He was a member of the Centralia Jaycees and Anchor City Gypsies Camping Club.

Keith loved his family, community and church, he was very dedicated to them. He avidly enjoyed horseshoes, bowling, golfing, hunting, photography, drawing/art, and lettering signs. A fan of classic cars, he owned a 1955 Chevy and attended car shows.

Keith was a loving family man, loyal and compassionate friend with a musing sense of humor, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Keith is survived by his wife, Ann; two children, a daughter, Terri A. Goins of Knoxville, TN, and son, Steven (Michele) Davis of Sulphur Springs, TX; four grandchildren, Joshua Goins of Tennessee, Shelby Grady (Robbie), James and Olivia Davis all of Texas; brother, Malcolm Davis, Jr. (Leta) of Centralia; two sisters-in-law, Fay Churovich of Collinsville, IL, and Linda Walker of Mexico, MO; brother-in-law, Kenneth West (Teresa) of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm, Sr. and Ruth Davis; in-laws, Marvin and Helen West; two sisters, Wilma Griffin, and Betty Chandler; sister-in-law, Barbara West; brother-in-law, Alex Churovich; a son-in-law, John Goins.
