Betty J. Turner, 85, of Mexico, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Pin Oaks Living Center.

Graveside Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Betty was born on August 5, 1933 in Audrain County, the daughter of Glen T. and Marie (Gilmore) Hite, Sr. On June 2, 1951 in Mexico, she married Adam D. Turner. He passed away on November 3, 2017.

Mrs. Turner was a 1951 graduate of Mexico High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Gary Evans for 25 years.

Betty was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri Tigers.

Survivors include one daughter, Deb Turner and spouse, Pat Wilber, of St. Louis; one son, Dan Turner of Mexico; special friend of the family, Susan Cinkay of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Adam, Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Glen T. Hite, Jr. and James S. Hite.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
