Martha Louise Bealmear, 72, of Mexico, was called home on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at her home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Louise was born October 21, 1946 in Waynesville, the daughter of Arthur Merle and Nona Martha (Harmon) York. On May 9, 1965 in Mexico, she married James A. Bealmear.

Mrs. Bealmear was a 1964 graduate of Mexico High School. She was a homemaker and ran a daycare. When her children became older, she became a Property Manager.

Louise had been a member of Victory Christian Fellowship, where she was the Secretary and ran the bookstore. She then became a member of the First Assembly of God Church and had sang in the choir.

Mrs. Bealmear was a talented quilter. She belonged to the Prairie Quilt Guild and had made numerous quilts for family members over the years. She participated in Clowns for Christ and became known as “Weezie the Clown”, especially by her daycare children. Her loving care for children could be felt by her grandchildren as Louise dearly loved spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Bealmear of Mexico; four children, Jimmy (Toni) Bealmear of Mexico, Angie (Joe) Lee of Mexico, Jeffery Bealmear of St. Charles, and Joseph A. (Rebecca) Bealmear of Kirkwood; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Larry (Bonnie) York of Charlotte, North Carolina, Alan (Jody) York of Centralia, and Douglas York of Mexico.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vicki Crum.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Assembly of God Church. Both may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 62565.
