Brad Reid, 63, of Mexico, passed away Wednesday, June 12,2019 at University of Missouri in Columbia.

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday June 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Fields (old Steinman Banquet Hall), located at 8287 Highway 15, Mexico, Missouri 65265 with good friend Don Marking officiating, meal to follow.

Brad was born May 5, 1956 in Belleville, Illinois the son of Phylip and Shirley Reid.

He graduated from Wellsville-Middletown High School and on October 16, 1982 he married Beverly McCrite.  They were married 36 years and they lived in Mexico where they raised their family.

Brad worked 20 years for Norfolk Southern Railroad, he also ran his own business called Unique Design Landscaping for 17 years and his last job for the past 11 years with Spartan Light Metal of Mexico. Brad was a hard-working man who loved and provided for his family. Family was very important to Brad and when his kids were growing up, he was always generous at sponsoring youth softball and baseball teams they were part of. Brad was excited for his first grand child on the way. Brad and Beverly enjoyed dancing and playing pool together.

Brad was a happy go lucky free-spirited guy. He loved Holiday celebrations.

He is survived by his wife Beverly of the home, his son Phillip Bradley Reid of Mexico; a daughter Rachael Nichole Reid of Mexico; sisters, Leah Schipper of Hannibal and Carie Pickerell of Montgomery City; soon to be grandson Phoenix Bradley Reid, numerous nieces and nephews as well as his dogs, BeBe, Cookie, Sookie and cat, Cali.

His parents preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the ALS foundation in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 South Jefferson, Mexico, Missouri, 65265.
