Linda Mae Brewer, 67, of Mexico, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Mexico.
A Visitation will be Friday evening, June 28, from 5-7 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.
Linda was born January 19, 1952 in Mexico, the daughter of Clarence Edward and Ada Belle (Cuno) O’Connor. On August 23, 1969 in Mexico, she married James Irvin Brewer, Jr. He passed away on January 3, 2004.
Linda worked for the Missouri Veterans Home and had attended Friendship Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling, photography and writing poetry. Linda was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Heather Diane (Kirk) Minor of Mexico; one son, James I. Brewer, III of Mexico; six grandchildren, Matthew James Diven of California, Ava Jade Marie Brewer of Warrensburg, James I. Brewer, IV of Mexico, John D. Mays of Sedalia, Jacob D. Mays of Mexico, and Hannah D. Mays of Mexico; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon D. Mays of Sedalia, Reina Mae Diaz of Mexico, and Emmett Joseph James Diven of California; six siblings, Shirley Sue O’Connor (Carl) Burkhead of Mexico, Donald Edward O’Connor of Mexico, Clarence Eugene (Londa) O’Connor of Madison, Brenda Kay (Thomas) Horton of Auxvasse, Michael Wayne O’Connor of Auxvasse, and Angelia Christine (Rick) Walker of Mexico; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, James, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence O’Connor and Ada Long.
