Ora Belle Sapp, 83, of Auxvasse passed away at Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville on Friday, June 21, 2019.
She was born in Williamsburg, Missouri on November 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Frank Love and the late Eva Lena (Ferguson) Love.
On June 26, 1955, Ora Belle was united in marriage to Joseph E. Sapp. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2005.
Ora Belle was a dedicated life-time member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church. She served in several positions within the church, and taught the three-year class in Sunday School and Bible School. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Sapp’s Market in Auxvasse. In her spare time, Ora Belle enjoyed quilting, sewing and canning. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
She is survived by sons, Kenneth Joe Sapp (Stacy) of Atlanta, Ga., David Sapp (Mary) of Atlanta, Ga., and Larry Sapp of Auxvasse; daughter, Janet Mills (Carthyl) of Gulfport, Ms.; sisters, Treva Faye Oden, and Elizabeth Marie McCulley of Auxvasse; seventeen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Gilbert Love; and sister, Helen Irene Easley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Grand Prairie Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Atkins officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be in Auxvasse Cemetery.
