Freshman Keaton Bell delivered a no hitter Friday as the North Callaway Thunderbirds defeated Missouri Military Academy in a four-inning contest. At the plate, Bell was 2-for-2 with a double. He was hit by a pitch and scored three runs and recorded two RBI.
North Callaway plated three runs in the first, three in the second, eight in the third and added one for good measure in the fourth.
Jackson Althiser and Kyle Pennell were both 2-for-4 with two RBI each. Also recording hits for North Callaway were Braydn O’Neal, A.J. Siegel, Jordan Fishburn, Carter Moore, and Davis Woods.
Bell struck out four and walked one - the first walk he’s given up this season. He is now 4-0 with two saves and has an ERA under one.
The win improved the Thunderbirds to 12-11 entering Monday night’s game against Father Tolton.
