The Mexico Bulldog Booster Board recently helds its 2022 dinner auction. Serving to a packed house, the Boosters made just under $25,000 from a combination of live and silent auctions.
Money raised goes into supporting Bulldog athletics. Over the past year, the Boosters have funded the purchase on indoor floor cover for the batting cage, matching backpacks for girls and boys basketball, a tennis ball machine, pitching machine, matching jackets for baseball, an athletic reception for senior athletes and their parents, patches for qualified athletes, senior keepsake sports posters, and meals for sectional and state qualifiers. Additionally, they’ve awarded 18 $500 scholarships to graduating senior athletes.
All these measures of support are made possible through community generosity.
Board members for 2021-22 are Brandon Schafer, Robbin Denham, Julie Rowe, Amy Groves, Kristin Jurgesmeyer, Lara Ryan, Lisa Thurman, Sara Azdell, Taylor and Ryan Colley, Charles McCurdy, Julie Broeker, Tony Robertson, Russell Runge, Troy Teel, Kevin Duncan and Rowdy Cannon.
