Community R-6 FFA hosts banquet

The Community R-6 FFA held its annual Awards Banquet last week at the school. Scholarships, awards and SAE recognitions were all given to members of the group. In addition, special recognition was given to school and community leaders for their dedication and assistance to the chapter.

Chapter accomplishments this year included a three-star National Chapter Award, a Superior Chapter Award, 100% FFA Membership, a sixth-place in the Missouri Gold Emblem Chapter (out of 356 Missouri FFA Chapters).

Scholarships:

-        Clint Deimeke Outdoor Foundation Scholarship winner, Pacey Cope

-        The Audrain County Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship: Tucker Robnett, $2000; Lance Fort, $1500

-        Chris Stuckenschneider Scholarship: Pacey Cope, $500

-        Martinsburg Farmers’ Elevator Scholarship: Lance Fort, $500

-        Audrain Agribusiness Association Scholarship: Tucker Robnett, $400; Lance Fort, $400

-        Audrain County Farm Bureau Vocational Scholarship: Tucker Cox

-        R6 FFA Alumni Association Scholarships: Tucker Robnett, $500; Pacey Cope, $500; Lance Fort, $750

Chapter Awards:

-        Chapter Scholarship Award, Top GPA in Ag Classes: freshman, Lane Carter; sophomore, Kate Robnett; junior, Olivia Schafer; and senior Tucker Robnett

-        Chapter Leadership Award, Outstanding Leadership in the Classroom, FFA, and Community: freshman, Kat Meyer; sophomore, Clayton Jennings; junior, Dylan Hoyt; and senior, Tucker Cox

-        Chapter Service Award, Outstanding Service in the Community and School: freshman, Cooper Rohan; sophomore, Drake Welch; junior, Zach Love; and senior, Pacey Cope

-        Chapter Outstanding Member, Top Points Earner: freshman, Lane Carter; sophomore, Callie Jennings; junior, Aaron Carter; and senior, Tucker Robnett

Honorary Chapter Degree Recipients: These individuals were recognized as being strong supporters of the R6 FFA Chapter. They were: Community R6 Principal Bob Curtis, Kenny and Audrey Schafer; and Joe Vomund.

2022 Fall Public Speaking:

-        Missouri Pork Producers Area Qualifier Callie Jennings

-        Missouri Institute of Cooperatives: Aaron Carter, second place area and district qualifier; Mason Rohan, area qualifier

-        Missouri Farm Bureau: Lance Fort, first-place area and second-place district

-        Missouri Young Farmers/Young Farm Wives: Olivia Schafer and Cooper Rohan, both area qualifiers

-        Missouri Association of Soil and Water Conservation: Dylan Hoyt, second place area, district winner, and state winner

-        Missouri Cattle Industry: Tucker Robnett, second place area, district winner, fourth in state; Lane Carter, area qualifier

-        Missouri Sheep Producerss: Chloe Campbell, third place area and district alternate

-        Missouri Forest Products: Clayton Jennings, second place area and district qualifier

-        Missouri Pet Breeders: Kate Robnett, area qualifier

-        Missouri Quarter Horse Association: Ella Duenke, third place area and district alternate

The chapter also installed its new officers for the 2023/2024 school year. They include: President Aaron Carter, Vice President Dylan Hoyt, Second Vice President Clayton Jennings, Secretary Kate Robnett, Treasurer Mason Rohan, Reporter Ella Duenke, Sentinel Olivia Schafer, Chaplain Callie Jennings, Historian Baylie Windmann, and Parliamentarian Drake Welch.
