Dalton Eugene "Dodie" Williams, 89, of Laddonia, passed away at 9:05 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at the Meadowlands in O'Fallon.

Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 8, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial followed in Wellsville Cemetery.

Dodie was born in Mexico on April 28, 1932, the son of Velton and Melva (Roberts) Williams. On Feb. 18, 1956, in Wellsville, he was married to Carolyn "Carrie" Carr who survives.

Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was a farmer and also a well-known antique dealer. For several years Dodie and Carrie operated Countryside Antiques in Hermann. In later years he drove a school bus for Van-Far. He continued to enjoy tending to his cattle and the farm. He also loved playing cards.

In addition to his wife, Carrie, survivors include two sons, Michael Eugene "Mike" Williams, of Laddonia, and Gregory Alan "Greg" Williams, of O'Fallon; two daughters, Patti Michelle Bloemke (Daniel), of St. Charles, Joni Lynette Williams (Dwight Downs), of St. Peters; four grandchildren, Nate, Lauren, and Olivia Bloemke, and Brad Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
