First State Community Bank breaks ground on new banking center in Mexico

Construction of a new 4,010 square feet banking facility for First State Community Bank has started.

The new building will be located at 912 East Liberty in Mexico.

"Construction started at the end of November. There will be several benefits to the new building. The location will make it more convenient. We now have a drive-up ATM. We were leasing our old building, with this facility we will own it. This shows we are investing in the community and are here to stay," said Ron Hopkins, Market President of First State Community Bank in Mexico.

The project is estimated to cost around $2 million and weather permitting is expected to be completed by July, 2023.
