Several programs boasted achievements Saturday during Day 2 of the MHSSAA Cross Country State Championships. Chiefly among them was the Centralia girls earning second place in Class 3, giving the school its first ever cross country state trophy.

Senior Jozelynn Bostick finished 11th to achieve all-state honors for the second time in her career, Missouri Military Academy senior Bryson Powell placed 10th for his second straight medal and Paris freshman Mairyn Kinnaman gave the Coyotes high school program its first ever medalist with a 21st-place finish in its inaugural season. North Callaway junior Pressley Schmauch didn't make it on the podium but completed her third trip to state in as many seasons.
