Community R-6 freshman Dylan Hoyt placed fourth overall in the Wellsville Invitational Monday.
He completed the 3.1-mile race in 20 minutes, 7 seconds. Clopton’s Hunter Burt won the boys race in 19:20.
Van-Far was led by a ninth-place finish from Cayden Caldwell who finished the race in 22:22. Other runners for the Indians were Fulton Walsh (14th, 24:10), Ennis Childs (15th, 24:26), Skyler Penley (16th, 24:32) and Maciah Hugg-Hemanda (18th, 28:37).
In the girls race, Van-Far was led by Madelynn Caldwell who placed 10th in 26:02. Teammate Alayna Bryan followed in 19th in 30:14.
Marion County’s Delaney Straus won the race in 20:48.
