Mexico Public Safety Department reports the arrest of 32-year-old Kevin W. Powell on Saturday, Jan. 28, for a Boone County and Saline County warrant.
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, Jan. 27:
Domestic physical incident on West Monroe.
A vehicle break-in at Neptune.
Suspicious person on West Liberty.
Stealing or theft at South Morris Street.
Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, Jan. 28:
Suspicious vehicle at 1726 East Liberty.
Natural gas odor on South Morris Street.
Harassment at West Pearson.
Suspicious person on South Muldrow.
Threats at South Washington.
Property damage on Pleasant.
Shop lifting at 4820 South Clark.
Mexico Public Safety responded to these calls on Sunday, Jan. 29:
Suspicious person at Fairground Road and on West Breckenridge.
Fight in progress at West Monroe.
Car accidents:
A two-car accident on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2:23 p.m. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened on Agricultural and Liberty. A vehicle driven by 60-year-old Kenneth Allen of Mexico turned left on a green light failing to yield and hit a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Shannon Borcheding of Mexico. No injuries were reported.
