The Mexico softball team stayed above the .500 market with a pair of shutouts in two conference games this week.
The Bulldogs (10-7) erupted for 15 runs in the first three innings in a 15-0 beating of Marshall on Monday and blanked Moberly 6-0 on Tuesday.
In Monday’s win, Mexico plated four runs in the first and tacked on six in the following inning. Kierstan Epperson, Abby Bellamy and Brooke Teal each had two hits. Jordyn Thurman struck out two in three innings of work on the mound.
Against Moberly, Eboni Mayfield struck out four in the complete-game win. Lexie Willer had two RBIs, Riley Thurman scored twice and Bellamy had a homer.
