Rose Fuemmeler, 82, of Mexico, passed away at home on Thursday, November 10, 2022, with family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. David Veit officiating. Burial will follow in St. Brendan Cemetery.

A Visitation is Saturday from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Rose was born on May 18, 1940, in Clark, Missouri, the daughter of Walter E. and Goldie M. (Adkisson) Smith. On June 10, 1966, she married Vincent Fabian Fuemmeler, Sr. He passed away on November 21, 2020.

Mrs. Fuemmeler was a 1958 graduate of Mexico High School. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper. Rose was a snowbird in Arizona with her husband of 56 years.

She loved Christmas gift exchanges and spoiling the grandkids with her earnings from the casino. She and Vince welcomed many large family dinners, especially around the holidays.

Rose was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and had served with the Ladies of St. Brendan. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, golf, mahjong, and was a league bowler for several years. Rose loved Cardinal baseball and watching football on tv.

Rose is survived by eleven children, Sheila (Jim) Shipman, Ron (Gennie), Karen Jacobi, Betty (Orv) Salmon, Linda (Ken) Mace, Carl (Debbie), Rick (Carleen), Donna (Regan) Fuhrer, Tammy (Joe) Monk, Randy (Connie), Vince (Sundy), along with 25 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Vincent, Rose was preceded in death by five siblings, Bob Smith, Dorothy Griggs, Bonnie Agler, Kenny Smith and an infant brother.

Memorials may be made to St. Brendan Catholic Church. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
