The Van-Far softball team won one of three games it played in the Louisiana Tournament last Saturday.
The Indians fell 12-3 to Clopton in the consolation championship. They opened the tournament with a 12-1 loss to Monroe City, but rebounded with a 9-6 win over Knox County.
In the Knox County game, Devyn Keller, Madilyn Ingram and Hailey Lowry had multiple hits. Keller and Lowry also contributed three and two RBIs, respectively.
“Being really young has been kind of a struggle for us this year, but I think if we can play like a team hopefully will have some success this week and the rest of the season,” Coach Kelly Borchert said.
