A late Indians rally doomed the Trojans as Van-Far overcame a 3-0 deficit at home to win 5-4 on Thursday.
The fatal blow came in the bottom of the seventh after Community's Olivia Kuda scored on an error to put the visitors on top 4-3.
Devyn Keller reached on an error and moved to third on a Kaylen Culwell double to right. Mara Jensen followed with a base hit to even things up at 4-4.
Culwell was on third with the bases loaded when Madilyn Ingram stepped to the plate. Ingram ripped a hard grounder into center for the game winner.
Until the fifth Community held Van-Far in check. In the top of the first, the Trojans pulled off a successful double steal with Sarah Angel sliding home.
They tacked on two more in the second. A looping single to left by Shelby Clark scored Taylor Johnson, serving as courtesy runner for Brooklynn Glasgow. Rylee Rafferty, who had singled, then came home on an error.
After the initial outburst, pitchers Lydia Forbis of Community and the Indians' Jensen took charge. But Van-Far broke the silence with two in the fifth and another in the sixth to tie the game and set up the dramatic finish.
For the Trojans Kuda was 4 for 4 with a run. Rafferty went 2 for 3, also scoring.
Van-Far had 8 hits from eight different players. Five different players drove in runs.
