Marie Hutchens, 98, Centralia, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Neighborhoods in Columbia. She was born September 19, 1925, in Centralia, the daughter of the late Peter and Amy (Shock) Denham. In May of 1944 she was united in marriage to Nelson Ray Hutchens who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son Ron Hutchens (Rhonda) Columbia; two daughters Patty Berndt (James) Centralia, and Sue Kribbs, Centralia; one brother Bill Denham of Centralia; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a daughter in law Georgia Hutchens, Kearney; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, one son James Ray Hutchens, two grandchildren Donnie Kribbs and Scott Hutchens, two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 2, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the Oliver Funeral Home.
