Beverley Jean Whitaker ( née Barker) age 84, died peacefully October 22, 2023, at Capital Square in Tallahassee, FL. Beverley and her twin sister were born July 1939 in Benton City, to Genevieve and Paul Barker.
She is survived by her son Dwight (Mary) Whitaker of Hiram, Ga.; her daughter Pam (John) Forrest of Tallahassee, Fla.; her twin sister Shirley (Norman) Kruse of New Carrollton, Md.; younger brother Lyndy (Ruthie) Barker of Mexico, and brother-in-law Glenn (Lura) Whitaker of Covington, Ga.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Genevieve Barker, her husband Jim Whitaker and her older brother Howard Barker.
A Graveside service was held at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park on Thurs., Oct. 26. A Memorial Service at Capital City Christian Church will be held at a later date.
