Billie Gene Duncan, Jr., 53, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Billie “Bill” was born March 11, 1970, in Mexico, the son of Billie and Bettie (Young) Duncan who preceded him in death.
Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Technology and Masters of Science in Industrial Vocational Technical Education from Central Missouri State University. He met and married Jennifer Fitterling at the Central Missouri State Campus. He had several jobs with computer networking and applications and currently worked as a Sr Software Application Administrator for SS&C Blue Prism, Kansas City.
In school he started in scouts and then was active in 4H which led to his many outdoor interests including hunting, fishing and boating. He enjoyed raising animals including his 2 dogs, goats, chickens, bunnies, pigs and most recently quail. He liked watching homesteading videos and learning new things to try and watching his favorite KC Chiefs play football. He was an amateur HAM radio operator in the Warrensburg area.
Survivors include his children Zoe, Colorado Springs, Colo., Billie III and Trinity, Warrensburg; one sister Sheila VanGennip, St. Peters.
He was also preceded in death by one sister Marsha Rae.
A Celebration of Life Gathering was held from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the children.
