Carole M. McVay, 75, Centralia, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia. She was born July 8, 1948, the daughter of the late James and Lucille Wray. On February 25, 1969, she was united in marriage to Donald McVay.
She is survived by her husband Don; one son Scott (Ginger) McVay of Centralia; two daughters Tracy (Trevor) Banning of Ashland, and Denise (Russell) Berry of Columbia; one brother Claire (Donna) Wray of Annabelle; three sisters Roseann Wilhelm of Macon, Marlene (Harvey) Fifer of Shelbina, and Elaine (Trenneth) Barton of Clarence; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.. In addition to her parents, two brothers preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Mon., Oct. 30, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia. Visitation will be prior to services starting at 9 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O.
