Thse Centralia girls are one game away from the state Final Four.
It would the Lady Panthers' first Final Four that they would earn with a victory over Clarence Cannon Conference foe South Shelby (23-6) at 6 p.m. Friday in Centralia. But first, eighth-ranked Centralia made it past ninth-ranked California 56-48 in a Class 3 state sectional game in California.
Centralia's first meeting vs South Shelby this year
Centralia (24-4) played at California (19-10) in its first game of the season, losing 62-54 to make it the ninth straight loss against the Lady Pintos. The Lady Panthers trailed 14-11 after the first quarter but started to turn things around with a 29-20 halftime lead.
Morgan Ross led Centralia with 17 points, Braylin Brunkhorst followed with 12 points, and Ryenn Gordon finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Panthers defeated South Shelby earlier this season 62-28 in Centralia in their undefeated run to win a conference title.
