Centralia, North Callaway all advance to Day 2; Griffiths wrestling for MMA

Centralia, North Callaway and Missouri Military Academy began their weeks at the MSHSAA state meet on Wednesday morning, First, those schools competed in the Class 1 boys meet.

All nine Centralia wrestlers made it Day 2, with Charlie Robinson, Rex Bryson and Wyatt Adkisson in semifinals Thursday morning at about 8 a.m. in their respective weight classes. The other six compete in third-round wrestlebacks to try and earn a spot on the podium tomorrow. The Panthers sit in second place behind St. Pius X (Kansas City) at 65 points compared to 102 points and are ahead of third-place Father Tolton's 63 points.

Lane Kimbley and Collin Moore each advanced to semifinal rounds tomorrow morning while Casper Safranski stayed alive for third-round wrestlebacks.

Trae Griffiths bounced back from a quarterfinals loss to advance to Thursday morning's third-round wrestlebacks. Ryan Miles was eliminated after two losses, finishing his season with 33 wins and his first career state appearance.
