Danny Lee Rice, 75, Sturgeon died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by two sons, Jerry Lee Rice of Auxvasse, and William Travis Rice of Garnavillo, Iowa; one daughter, Denise Marie Nichols of Harrisburg; one brother Darrell Rice of Rocheport; one sister, Marilyn Wiyrick of Columbia; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, one brother Jerry Orville Rice and one sister JoAnn House preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, with military honors. A family remembrance will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon. Visitation will be from 12 until 1 p.m. at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon.
