On Wednesday, June 7, at around 7:25 a.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to Eugene Field Elementary School in reference to property damage. Responding officers learned that during the previous overnight hours a window had been broken and paint had been used to damage some of the building. Investigation led to the identification of a 16 year-old male and a 15 year-old male as being involved. MPSD is continuing the investigation with the assistance of the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division, and that office will make final charging decisions.
