Mexico loses 55-12 to Odessa

Mexico's Drew DeMint gave the Bulldog sideline some energy on Friday. DeMint ran for touchdowns from distances of 39 and 59 yards in Mexico's 55-12 loss to Odessa at home. The Bulldogs from Odessa (3-0) fell short in a 51-47 shootout last year to Mexico but turned three out of four Mexico turnovers this year into touchdowns, taking a 41-12 halftime lead. Odessa quarterback Douryon D'obron had four touchdowns -- three of them passing.

Mexico (0-3) plays at North Central Missouri Conference foe Marshall (1-1) next Friday night.

• South Callaway (2-1, 2-0 EMO) 20 North Callaway 6 in Kingdom City. The Thunderbirds (1-2, 0-1) play at Louisiana (1-1, 0-1 EMO) next Friday.
• Centralia 35 Palmyra (0-3, 0-1 CCC) 24. The Panthers (3-0, 1-0 CCC) host Clarence Cannon Conference foe Brookfield (1-1) next Friday.
