The Mexico boys were in a familiar spot on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs played golf at the Moberly Invitational, hosted by their North Central Missouri Conference foe, at Heritage Hills and finished with a score of 390.

Aidan Knipfel led the team by shooting an 85, Kaiden Doebelin had a 92, Jacob Stephens had a 98, Landon Love owned a 115 and Mac Haag had a 126.

North Callaway golf falls short in close match, takes second

A few strokes made the difference on Tuesday for North Callaway.

The Thunderbirds finished their home meet in second place behind winner Montgomery County as North Callaway had 190 points compared to the Eastern Missouri Conference foe Wildcats’ winning 184 points. Davis Althiser also fell just short for North Callaway in the individual standings as he shot a 44 to match Montgomery County’s Keaton Reagan only to lose in a scorecard playoff.

Fatima finished third with a score of 191, and Missouri Military Academy shot a 195 to round out the quad meet.

Missouri Military Academy places fourth at North Callaway meet

Missouri Military Academy had several just miss out on a playoff on Tuesday.

In a quad meet at North Callaway, the Colonels finished fourth but had a couple finish close to the top of individual standings. Gabriel Ontiveros led MMA with a 45, and Blake Morais shot a 48 to trail behind Montgomery County’s Keaton Reagan and North Callaway’s Davis Althiser by one stroke.

Reagan won a scorecard playoff as Montgomery won the meet with a team score of 184. North Callaway was second with 190, Fatima was third with a 191 and MMA rounded out the schools with a 195.

Gaston Gastelum had the third-best score for MMA as he shot a 49, Cooper Johnston and Joseph Roach each had a 53, Raul Rosas and Russell Olson each shot a 54, and Rafael Cruz had a 56.

Onitveros and Cooper Johnston won the Eugene quad on Thursday for MMA as they each tied for first after shooting a 39 and the Colonels finished first.

Brooks medalist for Centralia in Panthers’ win vs Fatima

Centralia golf defeated its second straight school on Thursday.

The Panthers won its meet against Fatima after shooting a 160, compared to a 174. Travis Brooks finished as the medalist with a 37.

Carter Moss was the runner-up for Centralia with his 39 to tie Fatima’s Simon Stuecken, Cullen Bennett had a 41, and Hank Barnes and Josh Bowne each owned a 43.

On Wednesday, Brooks and Bennett stood out amongst a bigger field during the Southern Boone tournament at Eagle Knoll Golf Course. They each shot an 89 to finish in the top 15 to medal in the 10-school tournament.

Paris’ Jones finishes third at Harrisburg

Competition was tight for Paris boys golf on Wednesday.

Paris played at LA Nickell in Columbia in a meet hosted by Harrisburg, finishing second out of three schools and Donald Jones tying for third.

Jones shot a 43 to tie Harrisburg’s Brayden Ott and Logan Fritts but lead Paris’ team score of 191. Harrisburg’s Zollie Robertson was the medalist with a 40 as the Bulldogs won with a 167. Cairo finished with a 213.

Evin Reichmann tied for sixth with Harrisburg’s Aidan Van Roekel after shooting a 44, Mason Edwards and Reid Ragsdale each had a 52, and Garrett Henry shot a 57.
