The Audrain County Farm Bureau held its annual meeting Thursday out at Hickory Ridge Orchard and a familiar face received an award for his service to the world of agriculture.
Rep. Kent Haden was recognized and honored with the Friend of Agriculture Award by the Missouri Farm Bureau and presented to him by Audrain County Farm Bureau Vice President Brent Erisman.
“It’s for recognition for state representatives that are communicative and supportive of policies the Farm Bureau agrees with,” Erisman said. “Kent is a good friend of ag, and he is always willing to help somebody out. He is always willing to take care of things: You have questions about anything, you just have to give him a call and he will help you find the answer.”
Current district board members include Clarissa Cauthorn, Gavin Spoor, Erisman and Barb Wilson with members-at-large including Richard Dubbert, Jina Deimeke, Kaleb Harris and Leah Van Schyndel.
