Joseph William Paschang, 61, of Stoutsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 15, at The Ballroom at Homestead Hearth, 105 N. Coal Street in Mexico. Special memories of Joe will be shared at 7 p.m.

Joseph was born on January 27, 1962, in Kansas City, the son of Carl William “Duke” and Alice Mae (Saum) Paschang. On December 16, 1989, in Benton City, he married Nancy Marie Moore.

Mr. Paschang was a 1980 graduate of Community R-6 High School. He worked for 30 years at the Martinsburg Elevator, mostly as the Bulk Fuel Manager. He then worked at the Monroe County Co-op, retiring in July 2022.

Joe enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, and the views from the back patio of the home he built with his wife of 34 years. The best days were when he enjoyed them all together. As an avid gun enthusiast, Joe’s hobbies included hunting, target practice, and gun shows.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Paschang of the home; three children, Ronda (Reece) Thorpe of San Diego, Calif., Robert (Ashley) Paschang of Auxvasse and Jessica Hale of San Diego, Calif.; and nine grandchildren, Drue, Elexis, Chyrome, Kane, Autumn, Chayce, Isla, Lynlea and Benson.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Duke and Mae Paschang; one son, Carl Paschang; and an infant sister, Mary Kathryn Paschang.
