Girls basketball
Bowling Green tournament
- North Callaway 52 Bowling Green 36
The Ladybirds (11-7) opened the game with 22 points in the first quarter and achieved victory for the first time in four games despite some of the starting lineup dealing with sickness and three starters (Lakyn Hartley, Riley Blevins and Abrielle Burgher) picking up three fouls in the first half.
Blevins led North Callaway with 21 points, five assists, five steals and four 3-pointers, Natalie Shryock followed with 10 points, and Burgher had eight rebounds, three assists, and what North Callaway 22 "hustle plays" (which includes 10 deflections and four steals). Kaylyn Charlton led Bowling Green (4-13) with 20 points (11 in the first quarter).
North Callaway plays Silex at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the high school gym for the fifth place.
- Silex 53 Van-Far 32
Van-Far is eliminated from the Bowling Green tournament and falls to a 1-14 record. The Lady Indians play at Eastern Missouri Conference foe and Class 3 No. 3 Montgomery County at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Harrisburg tournament
- Centralia 56 Blair Oaks 46
The Lady Panthers (13-3) play Fayette (13-3) for the championship at 6 p.m. Saturday in the high school gym and try to defend their title. Centralia led Blair Oaks 21-18 at halftime but scored 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Braylin Brunkhorst led with 16 points, Morgan Ross followed with 13 points, Raegan Anderson had 11 points and Shelby Lewis added 10 points.

Sturgeon tournament
- South Callaway 73 New Bloomfield 44 in New Bloomfield
Community R-6 (3-13) plays New Bloomfield (6-11) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the middle school gym in the consolation rounds of the Sturgeon tournament.
Girls wrestling
- Mexico 42 Excelsior Springs 36 in Marshall
Alizabeth Welch, Katie Bowen, Abby Bowen, Abbie Seibert and Karisa Hayden all with pinfall victories
- Marshall 42 Mexico 27 in Marshall
Katie Bowen, Jashayla Johnson, Abby Bowen and Hayden all with pinfall victories; Seibert wins via a 14-10 decision
The Lady Bulldogs move to 13-2 in duals and go to Southern Boone on Thursday for duals against Fatima and Marceline.
