Bowling Green Tournament - Fifth-Place Game

- North Callaway 66 Silex 59

The Ladybirds (12-7) finished 19-for-24 at the free-throw line and had five players (Abrielle Burgher, Natalie Shryock, Lakyn Hartley, Riley Blevins and Kymorie Myers) each hit two free throws in the overtime period to outscore Silex 15-8 in the extra four minutes.

Burgher led the floor with 22 points and led the team with five steals and four 3-pointers, Shryock followed with 16 points and four 3-pointers, Hartley had 12 points, and Riley Blevins had nine points, a team-high 11 rebounds and five assists, and four steals.

Maddie Isom led Silex (6-10) with 14 points and two 3-pointers, and Abagail Mooney followed with 13 points.

North Callaway (3-2 EMO) plays at conference foe Wellsville-Middletown (7-6, 2-1 EMO) at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Sturgeon Tournament 

Championship semifinals

- Salisbury 39 Community R-6 35

Community falls to 10-7 and Salisbury moves to 12-5. The Lady Trojans play for third place at 2 p.m. Saturday against New Franklin (9-10). They defeated their Central Activities Conference foe New Franklin twice this season, including a 72-68 double-overtime victory the last time.

Consolation semifinals

- Paris 45 South Callaway 18 

Paris moves to 6-12 while South Callaway falls to 3-15. The Lady Coyotes play host Sturgeon (7-9) at 11 a.m. Saturday.
