Woman killed after crash into ambulance

Two Van-Far ambulance EMS technicians were left in serious condition and another woman is dead after two vehicles collided head on Fourth of July evening.

Jason J. Bostic, 47, Troy, and Leslie J. Dahl, 54, Farber, were both transported to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. Bostic was transported by Survival Flight and Dahl was transported by Air EVAC.

Terri L. Rucker, 43, Bowling Green, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred on U.S. 61 Highway near New London at 9:48 p.m.

Rucker was driving a 2010 Dodge Journey in the northbound lane while the ambulance being driven by Dahl, was traveling southbound. Rucker’s vehicle was traveling in the southbound lane and struck the ambulance head-on.

Assisting agencies included the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Hannibal Police, Marion County Ambulance, Hannibal Fire, and the New London Fire Department.

Woman hurt in one-car accident

A Vandalia woman was left in serious condition after a one-car accident.

Valera L. Pabst-Bostic, 65, was transported by Audrain EMS to University Hospital in Columbia after an accident occurred around noon on July 5 on Route KK just west of Laddonia according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash reports. According to the report, Pabst-Bostic was traveling along Route KK when her vehicle went across the roadway on the left, striking a road sign. The car, a 2012 Ford Fusion, then collided with a road sign, went airborne, and then collided with a bridge support before coming to a rest.
