Matthew Stewart, 24, of Vandalia, was tragically shot and killed on November 30, 2023, in Vandalia. He was born on October 5, 1999, in Hannibal, to Linda Stewart and Jerry Foiles.
Matthew is survived by his mother Linda Stewart, his aunts Brenda Stewart, Donna Kimery, Tiffany Coffer, and Tabitha Sisti, Kim Fischer, and his uncles Bobby Kimery, Christipher Nulsen, Jamie Foiles, and Tony Sisti. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Foiles, his sister Brianna Stewart, his aunt Nichole Nulsen, and his grandparents Della and Fred Fischer and Rosemary and Bob Nulsen.
A Celebration of Life will take place for Matthew at the Beacon of Hope Church in Vandalia, MO. The date and time have not yet been finalized due to the Police Investigation into his shooting.
Following Matthew’s Celebration of Life service, a reception will be held in the church’s Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend the service and reception.
