The next non-sanctioned tournament is the league’s annual Veterans Benefit tournament on Sept. 24 at Fairgrounds Park in Mexico. This year, all proceeds will go to The Central Missouri Honor Flight program. The tournament is open to all as sign-up is at noon and pitching starts at 1 p.m. The league will have a silent auction, food for sale, raffles, 50/50 drawings and lots of fun.
The league is open to anyone that likes to pitch horseshoes. We meet at 5:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Fairgrounds Park horseshoe pits. Contact Charlie Maupin at 573-581-8559, if interested.
