Mexico, Centralia compete at Ron Whittaker Bulldog Classic on Friday

The Centralia girls won the Ron Whittaker Bulldog Classic track meet on Friday in Mexico while the boys took second behind winner Hannibal. The Lady Panthers won five events and had many finish in the top three to earn a medal. The Panthers won two events.

Mexico was led by two event victories by the boys and the girls were highlighted by Maggie Ramsey's second-place in the 3200. The team's seniors were honored in a ceremony early in the meet.

Mexico

Boys:

Medals: Morgan Grubb 2nd in pole vault, 3rd in 4x200 relay, Thomas Peuster 2nd in 1600, 1st in 4x100 relay, Tyler Grimes 1st in 800, 2nd in 4x400 relay

4th place:  Dante Kelley in high jump and in long jump, Anthony Shivers in 100, Thomas Peuster in 3200, Alex Rowan in 200

Third out of 12 schools with 83 points (behind winner Hannibal 166 points)

Girls:

Medals: 2nd in 4x800 relay, Maggie Ramsey 2nd in 3200

10th out of 11 with 30 points

Centralia

Boys

Medals: Payton Mabrey 1st in shot put, Logan Rosenfelder 3rd in triple jump, 2nd in 4x800 relay, Cayden Dunn 2nd in 110 hurdles and 2nd in 300 hurdles, 2nd in 4x200 relay, JR Lesher 1st in 3200

4th place: Jacob Beard in pole vault, Dryst Bostick in triple jump and in javelin, Panthers in 4x100 relay

Second out of 12 schools with 101 points

Girls

Medals: Elle Berendzen 2nd in discus, Cora King 2nd in shot put, Kaylie Ensor 3rd in pole vault, Autumn Hawkins 1st in long jump, Becca Erisman 2nd in 400, Harper Forshee 3rd in javelin (36.45 meters to break school record 35.74 meters set in 2018 by Gwendolyn Bostick), 1st in 4x800 relay, 2nd in 4x200 relay, 2nd in 4x100 relay, Olivia Adams 3rd in 400, Harper Sontheimer 3rd in 300 hurdles, Jozelynn Bostick 1st in 800, Shelby Lewis 1st in 200, Rylee Palmer 3rd in 3200, 1st in 4x400 relay

4th place: Kassena Ridgel in discus, Becca Erisman in long jump, Kenedee Moss in 1600

First out of 11 teams with 151 points (Hannibal second with 141.5 points)
