On Friday, July 7, at approximately 3:26 p.m. the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 1000 block of Muldrow in reference to a disturbance inside a home involving a gun and found a male subject dead. The 66-year-old male who died at the scene was Rodney D. Bross. Bross was from Hannibal but had been staying at the home on Muldrow off and on for over a year. The 51-year-old female was shot during the altercation but was treated at University Hospital and released on Sunday, July 9. At this point, there is no indication that any criminal charges will be filed against the female.
