Arrests:
Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 37-year-old Tony R. Knapp Jr. on Saturday, Dec. 24 for Third Degree Domestic Assault.
32-year-old Cassandra M. Angell was arrested on Sunday for a Mexico city warrant.
48-year-old James I. Bramer III. was arrested on Monday for two Audrain County warrants.
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, Dec. 23:
A vehicle fire at the West Plaza Shopping Center.
Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
A report of animal abuse or neglect on Hanley.
Domestic physical incident at Country Place Court.
A stolen vehicle on Fieldcrest.
Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, Dec. 24:
A domestic physical at West Whitley.
An attempted stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
A stealing or theft at on East Holt and West Boulevard and at the West Plaza Shopping Center.
Shots fired on Robinhood.
Mexico Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Sunday, Dec. 25:
A dumpster fire on East Holt.
A vehicle break-in at West Whitley.
Property damage on North Jefferson.
Car accidents:
A one-car accident reported on Washington and Maple on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 4:31 p.m. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Kevin Benson of Mexico was traveling south on North Washington and lost control. The vehicle slid-off the roadway. No injuries were reported.
A two-car accident reported on Friday, Dec. 23 in the 1100 block of West Monroe near South Morris. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Lee Scrogin stopped in the eastbound lane waiting for traffic to clear to turn into a private drive. A vehicle driven by 21-year-old Ethan Everhart of Bowling Green was unable to stop and collided with Scrogin's vehicle.
