Mexico’s Aidan Knipfel is getting results on the summer courses.
As part of the Missouri Golf Association’s junior golf tour, Knipfel finished second in the 16-18 male division by shooting a 74, or eight-over par, on June 13 at Heritage Hills in Moberly. He was four strokes behind the winner, Shelbina’s Casen Glover.
Knipfel sank a par on every hole outside of bogeys or worse on seven holes.
The runner-up finish was an improvement of Knipfel’s first junior tour finish this summer on June 8 at Rolling Hills in Versailles. He was fifth in the 16-18 male division after shooting a 73, or two-over par, to finish four strokes back. Knipfel had four birdies that day but six bogeys.
