Missouri Military Academy couldn’t get many shots to fall Tuesday night in Paris.
The Colonels finished with 24 percent shooting from the field and were 5-for-21 on 3-pointers in a 47-33 loss at Paris (10-9). The Coyotes were led by a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds from Walter Rucker.
Rucker also had four steals and four blocks, Colton Poddany finished with 10 points, and Evan Smothers had seven points, four steals and two blocks.
Nathan Dempsey led MMA with 14 points while knocking down 2-of-11 3-pointers, Tsengeg Bayasgalan followed with six points and seven rebounds, and Lucas Almeida had four steals.
The Colonels fell behind 17-10 after the first quarter and 27-15 at halftime.
MMA also lost 41-31 to Sunnydale Adventist Academy on Wednesday at home to bring its record to 7-9 before playing in the Calvary Lutheran Tournament in Jefferson City on Friday and today.
Paris (2-1 L&C) hosted Lewis and Clark Conference foe Harrisburg (14-6, 4-0 L&C) on Thursday and traveled to conference foe Knox County (10-10, 2-3 L&C) on Friday before hosting conference foe Fayette (5-16, 0-6 L&C) on Monday.
