Nancy Sue Galen, 74, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023. She was born September 27, 1949, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Opal and Laurence Galen, who preceded her in death.
Nancy was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, and sister. She is survived by siblings Jim Galen of Bowling Green, Charlene (Ralph) Carr of Ashland, Larry (Betty) Galen of Columbia, Barbara Galen (Andy Bumbera) of Bullhead City, Ariz., Carol Galen of Colorado City, Texas; and 12 nieces and nephews. One niece preceded her in death.
Nancy led an adventurous and exciting life. After graduating from Auxvasse High School in 1967, she pursued a successful modeling career. She branched off to become a magician’s assistant and then found joy in becoming a mother to her daughter Crystal Gayle Bowen, who preceded Nancy in death.
Nancy had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation, and her laugh was infectious. She was a woman of many stories, and she brought smiles to those around her. She will be missed.
