North Callaway swept by EMO rival Montgomery County
North Callaway volleyball isn’t where it wants to be yet.
On Thursday, the Ladybirds hosted reigning Eastern Missouri Conference champion Montgomery County, losing in three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-10 and 25-19.
Before the season, head coach Andrew Klein said he’d like to see the program compete for the conference title as soon as possible. While the Ladybirds aren’t there yet, he liked what he saw from a couple of his players.
“Junior Hailey Rothermich played well off the bench, and freshman Rylee Horstmann impressed,” Klein said.
North Callaway moves to 1-2 and travels to unbeaten Fulton (3-0) on Tuesday.
