A juvenile has been arrested for an incident involving a knife at a school bus stop according to a release from the Mexico Public Schools District.
The release says the incident happened Friday morning, Dec. 15. The statement says the bus stop was in the north-central part of town. The incident was witnessed by another student and their parents and was reported to the district. No injuries resulted from the incident according to the statement. The statement says the student was taken into custody by Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) and has been referred to the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division.
An email was sent to parents Friday afternoon explaining what had happened.
