North Callaway had a strong outing in 5 1/3 innings from Sam Pezold, who allowed three runs on five hits and struck out six, but the Thunderbirds mustered only four hits against Montgomery County's Jace Ellis to lose 7-0 in a game on Monday that decided a share of the Eastern Missouri Conference title.
Mason Leu and Harrison Bishop each had two hits and three RBI for Montgomery while Kyle Pennell finished with two hits for North Callaway.
