Terri Stamy, 64, of Mexico, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.
Celebration of Life services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday October 7, at Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until service time.
Terri was born May 13, 1959, in Harlan, Iowa. She is the daughter of Tracy and Marion (Pugh) Howe. On April 2, 1983, she married Scott Stamy in Hancock, Iowa.
Terri spent most of her time taking care of her family and volunteering and helping others. She devoted many years as a volunteer for 4-H. She did work for a short time for both Kate’s Hallmark and the University Extension office. She also worked from home as a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her husband Scott, of the home; her mother Marion Howe, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one son, Richard Stamy and wife Kasey, of Ames, Iowa; two daughters, Celinda Winterbower and husband Jacob, of Ames, Iowa, and Sydney Liesmann and husband Kirby, of North Fort Myers, Fla; three sisters, Beverly Kosmacek and husband Butch, of Persia, Iowa, Barb Andersen and husband Ted, of Kimballton, Iowa, and Kristi Rasmussen and husband Mike, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two grandchildren, Iyla Winterbower, and Brighton Liesmann; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tracy Howe.
