Mexico Public Safety responded to the 500 block of Pearson on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023 in reference to a house fire.
According to the press release, responding personnel found a small fire in the attic, above a light. The fire was contained and put out in that area with three ceiling joists suffering significant fire damage and the room below having minor water damage. The resident stated that one of circuits for that portion of the hone had tripped a couple of times earlier in the day.
There were no injuries reported from the incident.
