Van-Far and Paris had several runners shine on Tuesday.
At the Van-Far Invitational, the Paris girls finished first and the Paris boys were second to also earn a team trophy while the host Van-Far had multiple earn medals. The Lady Coyotes had 20 points — ahead of Mark Twain’s 35 points — and the Coyotes had 53 points, which trailed Elsberry’s 21 points.
For Van-Far, Brooke-lyn Forman was the top finisher as she took third in the girls race with a time of 23:10, Khloe Wallace was eighth with a 25:55 and Erin Childs was 10th with a 26:35. In the boys race, Garrett Hopke was 11th with a time of 21:29.
Paris’ top finisher was also in the girls race as Mairyn Kinnaman placed one spot ahead of Forman with a time of 23:00, falling behind Elsberry’s Ellie Hartley and her 22:42. Ava Crain and Alexandra Tullius were in the top 10 with fifth- and sixth-place times of 24:39 and 24:47, respectively. Kaylie Johnson was 11th with a time of 27:11.
For the Paris boys, Landen Chapman ran to third with a time of 19:01, David Elzea was 10th with a 20:43 and Chase Graupman finished 14th with a 21:58. Elsberry’s Zeke Byers took the top spot with a time of 18:42.
In the junior high races, Paris’ Edie Wormington was the runner-up in the girls race with a time of 12:08, which trailed Clopton’s Beau Beauchamp and her 11:59. Van-Far’s Harrison Wright was 12th in the boys race with a time of 12:03.
